Just posted this to the women's skiff forum, but just noticed the GT60 thread here, so posting here too:

I sailed the GT60 Cherub on its maiden sail last week, on a pond just outside Ipswich. I'll be writing about it in the next edition of Roll Tacks in the magazine. Meanwhile here are some photos:

and a couple of videos I took during the day:

God Andy I am very jealous, what a nice looking UK Cherub. She looks a beaut to sail. I'm afraid to say she knocks the Daemon into a cocked hat just in looks alone.

I don't know you spend 4/5 years? as publicity officer for the class and this all happens when you leave! It's like buses loads always come along at ounce.

its not a cherub is it?  it is more a 14 cause of the hull shape but can be converted in true cherub design to cherub rules.

it still looks good tho

Just watched the video's, beautiful smooth sail.  Woould love to see it when it is powered up in 15-20

From what I can see the conversion to a Cherub consists of gluing a corner onto the bottom of the bow.

Err it's a Cherub. Read the report / reports. Ask the owner. It's a Cherub. The only thing that currently precludes it from being a Cherub is the interpritation of the bow stem meassurment, which to be honest, quite a few of the current UK Cherubs skate on thin ice with.

Just like the boat I used to sail which was based on a N12 Phil Morrison Big Issue, it to was a Cherub and not a N12.

Looks really nice, I cannot beleive how far back that t foil allows them to be in basically naff all wind.  Highly impressive.

I'm trying to work out from the pix if the sails are 100% identical to the Daemon...if not they are very close!
