+39 dismasted today then after all their last minute panic to get the new stick ready... must be gutting, especialy being one of the less well funded teams

Alinghi seem to be on form as expected though

When is there acctually going to be some wind in Valecia? Why not run it in the summer when they get a sea breeze?

I asked the same question today about why the Cup couldn't have started a month later. It was to avoid clashes with other major sporting events, such as the Tour de France.

The breeze is pretty rock solid from early July onwards, but so far Valencia cannot be said to be living up to its billing as the 'Fremantle of the Med'!

sky have live coverage every afternoon, currently showing some gripping footage of close racing..

still theres some intelligent insight from some budding Alan Hansen wannabes, I may have even seen Stevie Mitchell on there the other day...
