Hi,

Just embarking on my first restoration project. Have recently bought a lovely old wooden hull Enterprise dinghy, and was wondering if anyone could give me some advise on how to repaint her once I've sanded her down?  Is it simply a case of stripping the paint, sanding down, painting with primer, then an undercoat, and then the final coat?  If so could you recommend any paints etc?

Any advice would be much appreciated!

Hi Richard

I am about to embark on 2 similar projects, repainting an old forgotten wooden dinghy, as well as trying to fix up a fibreglass hulled Gypsey dinghy which needs a repaint, so would be interested to find out how you go with your restoration project ...

go to www.cvrda.org There are loads of tips on restoring boats on there and lots of very helpful people on the forum.
