Well yes and no.  They had knives and were pretty aggressive street kids but they were about our size and age - younger if anything so it wasn't that much of a big deal.  The stupid thing was that there was a gendarme just standing a few metres away just watching - some police force over there!!

Yep, all that North coast has been under English influence for far too long. Us from real France feel sorry for them, but from a safe distance, you never know what they might do ...
