can anyone tell me what class of sailing dinghy this belongs to, its is made from GRP is 4 meters long and 1.66 meters wide?

A Marlin, by the look of it, designed by Ian Proctor. If you have sails, they would have a fish on them?

i will look into the marlin class, am afraid the sails that came with the dinghy have no markings whatsoever.

thanks people for all your comments im pretty sure its a Marlin. Im now on the lookout for anything written about the Marlin and does anyone know how i go about get my hands on a set of the plans for the Marlin.

This is an early Marlin Length O.A.13'1" Length at waterline 12' 0" Beam 5'6" Draft 8/12" up 3'6" down mainsail 72sq feet Jib 32.5sq ft Weight of hull 215 lbs  Cruising Sails 76.3 sq feet. Side benches are Matured Mahogany and later models are Glass with buoyancy underneath. Stainless steel fittings ropes in Ulstron Smile SmileClassic and fine safe sailing and cruising.
