We had a few skiffs at Thorpe Bay for a while so no new insight really but 25 boats on the line was good and being legitimately in the middle of the action even better. 2 laps of a 1.3 mile course in 20 odd minutes was a shorter course than I would have expected and the start line longer than I would have set, unless line sag was the intention.
Most interesting aspect was the dedicated filming catamaran with dedicated cockpits for driver and drone pilot and platforms for still and video. Definitely a memorable experience!

Great footage there ... Keep thinking, he's gonna have to put that kite away ... But still they carry on!

There's a great film here https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=G9PJRcUVzMo

18 footers in the days just before it went crazy, then went (relatively) sensible again.

Quite a lot of info in Bethwaite's "high performance sailing" about the build up to Entrad and the resolution into B18s that followed.

Never mind the Americas cup, this is the real top end of sailing.

Breezy race today, plus last Sunday race is well worth a view, especially the last alp.

Fun racing in the legends races from Friday, some old names in that fleet!

Two recent articles on crew's for this season's 18's.

Do normal people sail these things with sponsorship? both the articles has photos where you could see the silver spoon hanging out of their mouth's :)
