I copy below the section of the Winter Series NoR which relates to catamarans.

Multihull Series

 a. Because not all clubs and events in the Series have the space to accept multihull entries, there will be a separate Multihull Series within the GJW Direct SailJuice Winter Series. This will comprise the following events:

• • Datchet Flyer, Datchet Water Sailing Club • Saturday 10 & Sunday 11 December 2016

 • • Grafham Grand Prix, Grafham Water Sailing Club • Monday 2 January 2017

 • • John Merricks Tiger Trophy, Rutland Sailing Club • Saturday 4 & Sunday 5 February 2017

b. Competitors’ count their two best event scores to determine their final overall Multihull Series score.

 c. Multihulls will be scored separately from the overall Series for the purposes of scoring the Multihull Series. However, a multihull’s scores will also be counted in the overall GJW Direct SailJuice Winter Series, as per section 4 of the Notice of Series.

d. While multihull results will be extrapolated from the overall results, the principles of section 4c will still apply, ie. Scoring of each fleet will be weighted against the fleet that has the most number of competitors across the whole Multihull Series.

It will interest Cat Sailors that David White and Jon Sweet convincingly won the Fast Fleet division at the Grafham Grand Prix in a Nacra Infusion F18. William Sunnucks and Megan Smith were a creditable 4th in their Nacra F16.
The full results can be seen at:

http://grafham.org/wp-content/uploads/_results/Opens/2017/GPFast.htm

These are the most convincing results for catamarans in the SaIljuice Winter series which tend to be dominated by monohulls. We hope it will encourage more catamarans to take part in future years.

There is still one more opportunity in this years series as cats can take part in the pursuit race at Rutland on Sunday 5 February.

Regards

Bob

Is anyone really racing the F16 singlehanded? Looks like a great boat, as a monohull sailer I don't understand why the need for the 15 too,
