Didn't know it was yours! Why is the mainsheet hoop so far aft?

Yep, guilty. Glad it's better than one of its competitors!

I sailed a new boat today that I guess will be at the show, the Hartley 15. Big plastic training boat. Seemed OK. Better than that Laser Bahia thing, that's for sure.

The Fireflies are doing a draw for a new suit of sails from all their early nationals entries at the show. They’re also launching a competition to win a brand new fully fitted out Firefly to celebrate their 70th Nationals this year.

Umm... The Farr 3.7 would loved to have shown off the NEW composite boats that have just been built, but we were rather let down by a fittings supplier who had indicated that we would be on there stand.

Neve mind, good things come to those who wait.

You can always find Dave Butler or accost someone wearing a UK Farr 3.7 T-shirt and ask about stuff.

Rupert, please wear your woodfreak badge with pride!  You did a super job on my HPS woodie Fireball nearly 10 years ago, putting the transom back on and sorting out the 'rot' at the bottom of the mast step!   It not only went well, it looked great so I respect your knowledge of wood!  I used to bemoan all the plastic bathtubs floating around on our little lake but eventually the excitement of spending Jan and Feb of every year stuck in a garage at -5 deg sanding etc wore off and I'm afraid I'm now a plastic convert.  However I will still enjoy seeing some of the beautiful woodies at the dinghy show, doesn't matter what class, some of them are just gorgeous.  Looking forwards to sailing the Osprey with you sometime soon.

Think I might have to ring elf and safety at Alley Pally and ask about Wood Poisoning
