As it says....

Old Blaze dinghy with an 18" long Blaze logo in purple letters down the side.

Is it practical to remove these or am I just going to make a mess!

If so how would you do it?

If the logo is vinyl then a hair dryer should soften it enough to get it off. Otherwise - no idea!

Hair dryer should get it off, but I'd be worried about a two tone logo shape below due to UV damage.... maybe that will polish out?  Jim might know.

I was worried about that however the boat superficially at least, does seem very fade free

Id try a bit first as there may be some fade. If its tacky, you could get that off with acetone or you can buy orange peel based 'sticky stuff' remover from hardware stores and it works well.
