I've just heard Costco were selling a bunch of new Lasers cheap down at Southamption boat show, two and a half grand apparently brand new, anyone know anything about this?
Word is they don't have plaques so can't be ISAF raced which I'm sure will put everyone off - Not. |

An ex rep who now works for Bainbridge told me yesterday they were piled high and going fast at two and a half grand at the So'ton boat show, they were also selling Blow up SUPS very cheap which was how the conversation went that way, do Costco even do online? It was the So'ton brnach if you're intrested.

They were official with plaques - had been in the soton branch for £4200 for a while and they were clearing out the stock at Soton Boat show to make way for all the Xmas tat. Sounded like they would be stocking them next summer again. They only had 3 left at the knock down price when we spoke to them (so should of bought the lot!)

What does that do to the 2nd hand market, if people know that they can buy them cheap new if they wait for the right time?

it knocks it right down- which is a good thing. The Laser should be the 'go to' boat for adults, youths etc into competitive sailing at club level and help build back proper club racing again.
