yup and my 200 crew  there wasn't a lot of wind and it was north-easterly which is a horible direction for shifts and lulls hence the teabag. On the boom of that cherub it says do not sail in under 10 knots of breeze and we left the shore when there was 4-5 knots

The tempo of the sailing doesn't quite match the music but looks like a fun event. If the continental Contenderers had had their way we could have joined you .

what have the continetals got to do with it?

your PY is very close to SSR less than 990 qualification you should contact Ian Renilson to see if he would change the number to allow contenders?

to be honest, i think that no-one would argue if you came along and sailed off of 990, its hardly far off of a contender which is 996? Put it onto the Yahoo group and get a bit of discussion going

The bass rock was an amazing race, its alot bigger when you get up close. The wind died for a bit around the rock, which made for interesting drifting when your getting thrown about by the waves. I was rather smug having paced with sten all the way up the beat  Kite would have been nice to get me back down before the wind died.

ELYC was a fantastic venue, the size of those waves made it all the more fun!

The Italians were trying to 're-brand' the Contender as a skiff . The PY is 993 now - I must have got a lot better over the winter!
