A friend of mine will buy one when he comes in to money sooner or later. He is a good helm and it would be interesting to see.

Its a nice boat and roughly the same price as a D-One, so guess the choice might depend mainly on where you sail!

I would like to try it, but pricing is a tough one. The D-one is a serious bit of kit for a similar price. All carbon hull, adjustable and heavily engineered wings and a kite. Also already has an active class and euro events. If the price is going to be £10k plus trolley, trailer, covers etc, thats becoming considerably more than a Solo/Phantom/Blaze which are the boats its up against and all of which have good followings and CA's. I do get the concept and like Nessa like a bit of beam on a boat and hope it gets traction.

I didn't ask, but I guess the DIY wood option is still available to self build?

Looks nice, however £10k for a single hander shrinks the market a little

Well, its a single handed merlin Rocket, and so bound to be much the same sort of price. Looks cheap besides a wood Merlin...
If you want a cheaper boat it has to go minimalist like the Aero. |

As a big middle age sailor who doesn't get out on the water enough and has consequently become a softie, this is a really interesting option for me.
It's the comfort factor that does it - something that seems to be rarely designed into modern boats these days. Crunched up or on my knees in the middle of boat downwind is no longer fun anymore. Assymmetrc singlehanders like the D1 avoid the sitting in the boat bit, but unfortunately just don't work on restricted waters. The H2 seems to be unique as a singlehander that provides a solution. |
