cheers Dave- and bar pulling it around a slipway, I can't really think of too many negatives about having a bit of weight in the hull.  I was able to leave my boat floating on Sunday, return the trolley to the shore and when I returned it was still upright.... amazing.  LOL

James,

It will be good to see you step in to something a little sportier than your current mount....

And I guess LDC might broaden the range of colours to suit you?

In all seriousness ours has been brilliant with the kids, who see the boat as a family member, and yet Clare and I get good quality racing (despite my weight).

Matt

It's probably best to not leave your boat on a mooring then Wink
Best wishes from deep in the woods

You must be quick onto the board then!  I have done it myself, but you do have to be quick.

Matt you're mixing 'sport' with 'speed' again, someone on the Forum had better give you a dutiful whipping... we had good 'sport' on Sunday; 8 boats out, despite the lack of wind.  I think the only other 'fleet' with anything going on was the Fireballs and the Sunday morning Lasers.... handicap racers were recovering from getting blooded at the Mary.

I usually make her indoors suffer in a knackered old kestrel, but a few weeks back I made the mistake of taking her out in a 2000 - one of the school's training boats.   She liked it so much we are in the process of buying a suitably knackered training 2000 from elsewhere.  If I can collect it in time and change my entry we may even take it to the Steve Nicks.  She wants to race...just shows what the right boat can do I guess.
the same, but different...

Sorry for getting back to the convo late on this one. Too defend my point that its a white elephant, if it was being economically prosperous then Laser wouldnt be selling it on.

Secondly is it becoming the RS2000 or is it going to become just the 2000 and lose the laser part of its name.
