Rodney et al, the tension will be building, the keen one (s) have probably been on the water with their "ice crews" checking the status of wind, waves (do you have them inland?) and shifts. Nerves will be getting the better of you all as the media prescence builds and the crowds gather on Rodney's Rump (equivalent of Ainslie's Hill) ..... just calm down ... build your vision of the start and finish ............ naaaa forget all that **** , swift arf in the bar and then off to the water do do battle! Keep us poor unfortunates who are working, in the isoated north and too far from civilisation (????really ????) to be able to enter the forumites fray! Looking forward to hourly updates and regular prov results (subject to potests and assasinations of course Ouch)

My money's on Rupert too, from experience - but it depends on what handicap he gets!
Shame about the shoulder Nessa - get well soon.

Really not Minisail weather - the only decent breeze we got died just after the fast boats had finished!

And there are some pretty decent helms hiding in the Y&Y forum!

Had a great time, though - good to put faces to names. I think Charlie and I would have been better off sailing the Firefly together, though, given the breeze, but 10th overnight wasn't too bad considering I'd never actually raced that boat before.

Lasernut's sail that he made for me is very nice - just needed to be a couple of square metres bigger, I think, for the wind!

By the sounds of the current results, I hope you phantom boys and icon sailers are going to try a bit harder tomorrow or my top three prediction could be a bit out!
