To be fair, most of the "animated" posters were that way long before they bought Zeros.

Like where?  Personally myself and the other Zero owner who have been accused of Fanboi-ism have kept out of this one.  I don't see any owners posting on this subject!  As for feeligns of inadequacy.  None at all.  I am really, really happy with my purchase as are others.  Doesnt stop people talking about other classes on forums.  They are both very different boats, aimed at similar but not identical markets.  The zero is more than an adequate boat!  Perhaps try one????

Bingo!  Thats kind of the point.  The real conspiracy theorists are people that think I and others have only started posting in the last 4 months.  8+ years is probably nearer the mark!

10+ years for me.... wish I'd have listened to Big Wave Dave and bought a Contender when I joined as a 'bored of my laser what next' newbie.

I'd probably still be sailing them now.  LOL

Never too late, though I'd take bets you wouldn't still be sailing it!

Just looked - 10 years and 4 months I've been on here. You'd get less for murder...

Contenders do seem to hook people in - no pun intended.

Although I'll happily admit the lure of asymmetrics has been and gone for me now, would a Contender have made me immune?  I dunno....  let's look to the positive and say it would.

I sailed a Laser for 8 years before I got bored of it, well my results in it inland rather than the boat itself if I'm brutally honest.

I'm holding back on the Contender (and Finn) until there's more time for dinghy sailing.  I'd love to semi-retire by 45, things were on track until we moved house and took out another mortgage ....    Cry LOL

Oh ... that is too much to catch up on ...

Were the hull numbers of the boats impacted published for the guidance of buyers?

In the video yes, but that's obviously been retracted.

They are now not publishing those Hull Numbers.

Hopefully someone who saw the vid might have it in their internet cache.

The hull numbers of boats that MIGHT have been impacted, as they were on the same container, were (briefly) published.
