Hi. The zero was intended to be efficient at straight line sailing (low boom) but comfortable and accessible (plenty of cockpit depth, you can sail upwind with no vang if you like, even if windy - sheets out to 13 or 14 degrees on traveller alone) so you should have a nice high boom in the tacks and feel like you have the best of both worlds.
Old guys and young guys (and gals) alike up to 6'5" seem to be happy enough.
If you are ok in a laser / solo / phant / Finn you will be fine in the zero.

6 more D-Zeros arrived yesterday and one, the top boat in the container, was shipped to New York (the bottom boat is a Finn)

i imagine the finn takes up most of the weigh capacity of the container, just enough left for a lightweight zero
