 im assuming possbily incorrect that the rs800 all up weight of 110kgs is before you take into account all the weights that go in front the weight equalisation system so if your light your boats gets soemthing like another 25kgs. coz they are bloody heavy.

The cost is immaterial if you can afford it anyway and as for the ns14 being 14kgs lighter than a i14 is that a minimum hull weight then? as a certain hiking class namely the phantom dreamt up this minimum weight years ago thinking it would never be achieveable but they managed it and now you need a epoxy boat as there are the only ones down to weight. class rules means the i14 has to be 78kg and as mentioned before you want the weight in the right place hence why carrying lead is better.

Rob Greenhaugh's rig on 1530 : just 7kgs ish so not the same as an 800s!

Hull weight of 74.25 dropping by 4 kgs over 4 years. Sailing weigh will be a lot less

Hulls are fantastically strong! the lead is just to bring it up to weight

I believe the 800 much like the 600 has a relativly light hull but the fixtures and fitings tend to be heavy, such as the racks, foils boom, etc giving a fairly high sailing weight.
