woo harry, stop with the insults man, did u care to ask how far they were from the beach 4 example, the jet ski passenger may have been in easy reach of the shore, get the facts man

omg maybe this forum isnt as friendly a place as i thought it was!!!!! it was a joke the point is i fink if he was screaming for my help, i think anyone would of picked him up.

The last rescue boat duty I did someone 'broke down' on a jet ski right on our start line with 4 starts and 50+ boats only 2 minutes away. I decided to tow it out of the way which was a bad move as they really don't tow well even if you can find somewhere to tie on to. Then he got arsey because I would only take him straight to the beach rather than the mile or so upwind and tide he wanted. He'd actually run out of fuel.

I once picked a kid out of the water in my laser in a gusty F6, his inexperienced dad had taken his 2 kids out (both about 8 years old) in a laser 2, they capsized and as he righted it the one kid was left behind with his dad barely in control of the boat over 100 metres away without the control to turn it around.

At the time i wasnt racing however even if i was i wud of picked him up, however the fact his dad had taken them out shocked me big time
