In a similar vein Roger De Coursey and Nookie Bear were also very good in a Night Club environment. Probably less so on the Telly where the humour was somewhat restrained. |

I thought this thread was supposed to be about the iniquities of the Laser and handicaps?

How much crap can anyone spout about Lasers and handicaps... Most Laser sailors I know couldn't give a monkeys about handicap racing, they actually have other people to race against properly 😘

The problem with kids and music these days is that so many of them become fans of the music I loved back in the day. The advent of Youtube etc seems to have allowed them to get into music of any era, and outside of the commercial pop, it seems as if the age of the music and musician no longer matter. Add to that the diversity of the stuff they're listening to (what is it when a band achieves world domination with a banjo?) and it's all completely wrong - one of the pleasures of growing old is supposed to be whining about the music of kids these days, but how can we do that when so many of them like the same stuff we do?
In the meantime, we're planning to get t-shirts printed with the slogan "I was into your favourite band before you were born" to wear whenever we go to hipster bars.

Do you know I spotted that as soon as I pressed post! Thank you for pointing out that I failed my English 0 level in 1961.
