Hi Simon
But it never is just white, always a shade of grey try plastic padding white gell against any hull and it never matches.
Ovington white is definitely not white for instance.
Frustrating trying to do that small repair.

True, the one colour you can almost guarantee won't work is plastic padding white....

Assuming it comes from the manufacturer I just think its more forgiving. That said clear deck with weave..nightmare.

This is so much better than Laser gray. Mustn't be caught OCS... I wonder why I dislike big fleet sailing and the attitudes that go with it.

On the mending side of things, yes, it is easier, but a Laser fleet just looks boring.

I'm finding there are plenty at my club who don't know what a D1 is, never mind clear coloured gel coat whatever.... Forum land is not representative of reality (thank goodness) and there are many out there who would think such a look jaw dropping.

I had a great hour long sail in my boat today, a shifty ten knots, with some bigger gusts coming through.  Now I have it well set up the boat becomes a complete joy to sail and very comfortable, even with a dodgy knee.  As for Brightlingsea, I'm hoping there a prize for first female over fifty.  If there is, it has my name on it!  Wink

I think something rather elegant is planned for the Finn stand at the Dinghy Show, understated but mind blowing, no doubt to be toasted with brandy and babycham, as usual

Brightlingsea is fantastic as a host club. It's local to me but have only sailed a few times there. The Pyfleet week I did there, I camped in the nearby campsite, so near it is separated by a fence.

Launching at low water is a team effort thanks to the oyster beds. Chuck a spare launching wheel in your kit bag just in case.

Not sure I get the must be white ocs nonsense, but these are coloured decks and many/most of the boats have some colour on the deck so it's not like they are going to say it was the blue clear carbon one is it!

As for the yawn factor, sorry I thought it worth posting given the lack of traffic on here of late.  It's a development more than a 7 year old thread about a radial mast.  Maybe people would just be happy for a quite forum?

It's all I would win, but with all Nessa practice I won't be anywhere near!

Comedy moment today, kite up, me standing up facing backwards fiddling with a rope round my foot, gust hits boat, so much sudden acceleration I nearly go face first out the back.  Luckily I only capsized rather than fall out and have the boat blast off without me.
