Does anyone have any tricks for covering a large area with peel ply ?

I've sheathed the floor of my Farr 3.7, and used 4-5 small overlapping pieces of peel ply to cover it. I plan on leaving the matt textured finish left behind to provide non slip.
This worked well but it was difficult to lay the peel ply without ridges / creases and I didn't wet it out enough so the result is a bit patchy.
I'd like to try again with another coat, but wondered if there are any easier tricks ?
