Peaky was seen taking some pics on his phone but I did ask him to keep them 'for personal viewing' .... we've got to hold something back before we make formal announcements !  You might get the odd 'teaser' here yet but it will not be long before the first two hit the water ... and then everyman and his dog will be sure to post their own 'scoop' pictures.

Most of you will get to see production ICON in the flesh at the Dinghy Show or if not sooner at the odd event after Christmas.   We'd just like to post some decent 'on-water' ones ourselves first.

be good to see it Peaky, and how well it goes too. Not sure us Phantoms will go that well this coming year as we have an open there the day before followed by beer, so how our legs are for a 3 hour race I don't know. Kind of you to offer the sail, but what sort of weight can they really take? I am a lardarse after all...

Your welcome. Mike has put a lot of effort into maximising the weight range by increasing the hull volume and having a very adjustable rig. It should be able to carry 26 stone okay (165kg), but 23 stone (145kg) will probably be more typical.

Nope Alex, I reckon me with the eldest at 4 years old might just be about right, or she's got a couple of years to go before we hit max weight. Luckily for her she doesn't have daddies belly. I think the the Beastie might be light this coming year as its been windy for a few years now, law of averages and all that

Chris, sorry about the comparison post re NS v Tasar, this is what happens when you, 1, Rely on a biased report from an NS sailor who was there, and 2, Don't check the actual results yourself, I feel most humbled..

Alex you have many years of strict diet control before you can consider emulating ourselves.
Beer

Good job you hadn't had any of the belly enhancing juice prior to writing it Simon.

No worries, Russell!

I'm interested partly because the comparative performance does seem to have changed - go back a while on this forum and I was saying that the Tasar had no hope against the NS myself. Embarrassed
