Oh and btw, I like your style Pierre, pure class.

I thought Life on Mars  was excellent.

Nice one Dave.  Those northern birds are a game lot.

Awoke this morning feeling invigorated and ready for the day, having experienced zero grief last night.

As I am an "old git" (but obviously very attractive to young and old women alike) Life on Mars touched a few memories.  Great story (Glenister makes me laugh out loud), music made me smile (and prompted me to dig out an old Groundhogs album), and I was once the proud owner of a Mk3 Cortina 2000 GT. Bright yellow with black vinyl roof.  Huge sliding sunroof that allowed you to stand up an drive.

The seventies were mostly crap, but there were some bloody good albums about.

You forget how crap the 70's were and just remember the good bits..like...um, no on second thoughts I can't remember any good bits! Glad I'm not the only old git on the forum, I loved the prog.

Thinking about it, we did have class racing at club level in those days, and one class at my club was the Moth, before they got too extreme for normal people! Could do with some more of that now.

Must go, it's time for me nap...

Oh Rog, you fashion victim !  ( Mind you I did have a lovely pair of blue platform boots).  Looked good with Levis.

I don't deny there was crap as well (and I was responsible for some of it), but I can't think of a year going by that I didn't get something from all the way from 1970 to 1980.

I know this will be contentious but I only really bothered listening to the Floyd about 3 or 4 years ago.  Always loved Siouxsie.

Dear Dave,
As im sure youve noticed: march 20th is approaching fast but I believe the lass is as yet unawware of what a treat she is in for. How, when and where should I break the news to her?

Many thanks,
Ben

Give her a gentle prod first thing in the morning to wake her.

That doesn't apply to Contender443! He's getting a brand-new kitchen fitted, with a hood that's been used only for demonstration purposes...

Still, I'll skip the 20th March. I'd rather wait 3 months and try to defy the laws of physics rather trying to collude (cf. Useless Facts of the Day thread) with the laws of bad taste!

Marvellous.  Think I'll go for both though.
