Robbins. They have set the AutoCad files up and can supply all the wood laser cut and delivered in one.
You'd need your plans too, currently from the NZ asscociation. As Piers says £700 to make the hull.

The Farr build is coming on nicely, the rain over Easter gave me an excuse to spend more time in the shed, (dodging a leaking roof !). This shows the first stringers beign steamed into place (I hope)

Looking good, like the idea of using split drainpipes for clamps... you can never seem to have enough of the things!

Looking neat - but I hope that's a camera distortion I'm seeing in the inner stringer on the port side...

Jim looks to me that he hasnt clamped it at the stem yet as that whacking great G-glamp is in the way, hence the horrible curve.

TEST SAIL DAY 7th May @ Blackwater Sailing Club.

We are arranging another test sail day. It's not 100% it's going ahead at the moment. As I haven't had the final nod. Which is why I'm posting it here and not sending it as NEWS to Mark.

I'll confirm when 100%.

In the mean time Piers is getting on well with his build, and starting to build up his main girder...

Just totting up the cost of all my materials today and it came to £620! so alot less than I thought it would, and thats including Laser cutting and epoxy- so it is a relatively cheap boat to build.

Will be getting a blog post up this evening- a big one! The delay was largely due to The Project that is having small scale testing today so that will be unvieled today aswell.

Piers.

Wait until you add the cost of the gear, fittings, rig and so on :-(

Still it can only be good news to get the hull shell out reasonably cheaply, but its a surprisingly low percentage of the total cost.

should be a good weekend, 10-15 knots forecast NE, great flat water reaching out towards osea island when the tide comes in and then some chop when its on its way out.
