Well here she is. First race for nearly forty years. "Shoestring" has been restored to her former glory after being stored in a barn since the early seventies. Not enough breeze to really try her out but enough to get the sliding seat extended and lightweight crew stood on the end "handsfree".

I would think they are there so that you can lift it onto its trolley and up the beach
