Looks like the parking attendant wasn't too happy with the arrangement judging by the wheel lock on the trailer. That or the owner bought one to secure the investment.

It's another tri: an Astus 14.1 (the floats are in the 20.1's cabin).

I thought about doing that when I was threatened with eviction from my flat for temporarily keeping my 14 in my car parking space in the flat car park (which i paid for!). I wasn't sure of the legalities and feared for the boat's safety so I managed to find a mates back garden in the end which did mean the boat had to be lfited over 6ft stone wall  but that is another story.

Sheet Loads

I recall the sheet loads are less on the 800 because although the kite is larger 21sqm as opposed to 18sqm on the 4000, it is taller and thiner.  I suspect RS learnt a lot from the 4000 when the 800 was designed - and improved on it.

I'm sure I've seen that tri at Datchet before.  Is it going back there this winter?  (Obviously once our Foot and Mouth ban has been lifted!)

I'm keen to see what it looks like on the water

What you saw at Datchet was my Astus 16.1. With the kids growing up I needed a bit more space so I've upgraded to a 20.1. As that's a bit too big to be raced at Datchet I also got a 14.1 (dad's treat). Hence the pile up on the picture...

The 14.1 is waiting at Hayling Island until the sheep get sorted out; I'll bring it back to Datchet as soon as the club reopens. I still need to sort out my PY number though

That's exactly what happened to me with my 14.1 this summer... Full main and genny with F6 was surely asking for trouble!

What a nicely executed pitchpole and a nicely timed shot. Well done on both accounts. Did it hurt? ;-)
