The bestest, fastest, coolest and everythingest boat was the 14. Hands down, by a mile. The girls loved it and were queueing up to drive it.  Carolijn Brouwer sailed it in 10knots on Wednesday morning and just hammered everything else out there into putty - even the GT!!! (lol).

The9er boats they had sailed before - most of them anyway and so had some 'previous'. The 800 came into it's own on the windy days as it was a bit more sorted and less fruity perhaps (has less sail area than a cherub according to Nick Peters) The 29er XX was pretty underpowered in less than 10 kts and was just not in the same league on pace as the other boats - but does that matter?  Ask any of the girls, the 14 ruled - with the caveat that in over 10kts they were overpowered and a bit scared!!! - but watching a couple of girls tipping the scales at 110kg all up cranking the 14 up and flat wiring downhill in 6kts of breeze was a great sight.  Anyone says they were faster in the light stuff needs their eyes testing.  In 12kts the 800 won every heat - pretty convincingly!

I had to laugh but they said the 8 was too boring the 29er too underpowered. The xx was just poor compared to the others, and the two cherubs were really nice but im glad to say the 14 was their favourite

I look forward to the day you post something that isn't bias towards a 14 in anyway.

Cant help having enthusiasm for a boat i love to sail can i? I work 3 12 hour shifts a week (7-7) in a job i loathe and then go to college 2 days a week. So exscuse me for having a little enthusiasm about the class and the boat i sail.
I was only reporting wat i was told.

Now now mini-smith, do you not know the brother hood rules?  You can't stick up for an older, bigger brother otherwise you'll embarrass him.  Only he's allowed to stick up for you.

Thanks TT.

Sorry about the name thing Dude. It was the result of many many late nights and long hours in the workshop having consumed far too much caffeine......

All the way through the build we hoped that the GT60 would be good looking and deadly so Beatrix Kiddo became the obvious choice.

It wasn't the first name we came up with but when we did it stuck and she is now lovingly referred to as B.

Mods to measure as a full UK cherub are well under way......
