To clarify I mean 'local' fleet e.g. Within a hour of home max.... Would I consider that new RS boat- yep, along with an OK, Finn, Blaze, Halo, Nova..... And a 300. Which one do I think has some potential to do something interesting Around here now or near future.. Contender, D1 and OK if I were a betting man.... even then it would be taking some pretty long odds!!!

Just say all of the above james they all good boats and thats the problem nowdays too many classes to choose from .
I reckon if i ever fancied a return it would be either a 300 or a vareo as enjoyed both in the big waves great fun |

Get that idle Stacey to teach you to kitesurf, no knee problems there, or windsurf, use your knowledge of the wind to have some proper fun doing something manly..

As everyone said keep plenty of foot in the sail, but if you don't have enough out haul on and you capsize the boom can fall of, then it's a nightmare to right it again

I can provide contact details of the former 100 sailors in the fleet if anyone wants a genuine comparison between the boats (we have a fair few in the fleet now) I wouldn't expect anyone to take my opinion into consideration as much as getafix. It would be somewhat biased! Both classes seem to of found their own directions lately, now much of the inter class bs has died away. Oxford winter series starts 1st December Jimbo, I am sure we can get you a ride in one if you fancy it. Offer applies to others as well, some top sailors will be joining us most weeks including Nick Craig, who as I understand it is going to leave his boat there all winter. Class is heating up now in perpetration for a uk based European championships....

I've enjoyed my year in the Phantom but I do quite fancy a Vareo. Problem is at 16st i reckon I'm too heavy for one unless it's blowing a hooly.
The other problem is a 100 is twice the money of a Vareo and I don’t have the difference. Given the bashing to he 100 gets around here I'm suprised the used prices seem to be holding so well.
