I had a black Rondar Albacore (below) it was 2kg overweight when it was built in 1977 so someone got the sums wrong. Mind you it was still going well 30 years later. 2 kg isn't really a problem when it weighs 136kg anyway!  Edited by tgruitt - 27 Feb 13 at 4:48pm |

[/QUOTE] The helm was 20kg overweight too so the 2kg was of no real consequence, but if black is the lightest colour pigment they had and it was +2Kg with no lead then I hate to think what their red or light-yellow ones weighed (heavy colours apparently). |

Yep, I had a black Rondar Contender with bright blue decks and it came in nicely under weight.

hi james, elaines new moth will be the same as the moth above.  only two differences. 1) it will be a deep cockpit boat, not a self-draining one. 2) elaine doesnt hike anywhere near as good as robbie claridge!!!!!!  |

Well, he will feature in a couple of the pics on the Lightning stand - not because I think he is hot, really, but because it is better than having an old man with a boat heeled over looking crap featured!
As for boat colours - I've never found a paint colour to really do it justice, but the orange glowing colour you get in the middle of a really hot coal fire. |
