OK I have got a question for you on those 12foot skiffs. With a 17 foot pole and a helm about 8 foot back, that means the helm is about 25 feet behind the line at the start gun.

Is this hard to judge from a helms perspective? How does the RO judge who is over the line when all he has is the small tip of a pole? Imagine it looking down the line and you will see what I mean.

I dont know about the handicap, but having raced at mumbles a fair few times, i can definetly recomend the mumbles mile - a mile of pubs on the sea front, the idea being you have to make it from one end to the other having a drink in each!!, always good fun!!

ok, well personnal i like the tornados better. they look smooth,

Mumbles is Swansea Bay.  I might be heading there in 7546.  I agree, cats hulls are all pretty similar.  The taipan has got a nice rig and set of sails tho!

what make is that?

how long you recon it would take me to tow it up there from heathrow (datchet)??

mines a classic 505 rather than an up 2 beat racer, built in 1988(parker) would i get any sort of handicap?!
