I knew the red trim on the sails was a throwback to something in the 90's.

We can / have supplied Icon sails in black trim for all you trendy Goths types out there  ... or blue !  No extra charge for sail trim choices but they will not make you any faster ....  And I thought Black was Henry Fords favorate colour a while back ...  No ... what ... it is fashionable again so quickly ?

Thing is you need to try an Icon first  ....(and then maybe choose the colours if it still matters !) Wink

I like the icon, but the red trim is awful, very 'iGRF' - good job there's a choice ;-)

Any chance SF can get snappy over the summer- I want to see more of that boat.

And the gel work on Rodder's Finns has been lush, can we get an iCon in similar devoti pimp?

I thought there had been a couple of pimped Icons??  Certainly the Devoti finish with some creative ideas had people talking about the Icon.  i think the different colour combos and newat gel work make the boat look great and really give it a 'Something different' feel.  Otherwise its just A.N. other boring white boat.  Kind of why joking aside i like Jimbo's choice for the Solo.  I also think the sail trim should be an option, the red is fine on a white boat, but clashes if you are brave enough to test Devotis creative tallents.

can I recommend the following for the heads...

That is perfect!

A bit of carbon paddle shaft will make the perfect roll holder and next time I'm passing a csrbon mast maker I may be able to get a larger offcut for the cover.

There'll be some head scratching in the rating office when the new application goes in and the interior materials are described as "kauri, ply and cedar circa 1969, carbon coffee and toilet roll holder 2013". Tongue

OKay- on a more positive note, our Laser fleet is still all sailing together, but they've just got enough folks to start splitting results into Gold and Silver Fleet to help spread the love a bit.

- cheap boats
- great racing
- quick fix lifestyle sailing (wednesday night and sunday morning no different to 5 a side or a squash commitment)
- encouragement throughout the fleet
- good racing throughout the fleet

I've not been a fan of a Laser (understatement!) but boat aside, I'v got to hand it to the SAILORS for achieving this.
