Only time and a few more boats will get an answer, I guess.

What you need to do is to get the boat out as often as possible of course. The more results the better. Unfortunately the established history in NZ is not a lot of help except to aid clubs in setting trial numbers which are a bit ore than finger in the air.

However another factor is the sailors on board. Statistically its good to have as many sailors as possible, but AIUI the stats for PYS make the assumption one boat: one sailor. Difficult not to really. Unless you give every guest sailor a different sail number on that's tricky to organise! The other option is lots of clubs.

I dunno, is it possible to organise some guest sailors who'll promise to sail the boat at their club in every eligible race for three weeks or something?

Yes Jim, good advice as always. I'm trying to do that at the moment. Admittedly just at my club. Unfortunatley the last potential helm had a heavy evening and cried off. As Neptune said something to do with 'over sleeping'

It is likely to go up to Oxford S.C at some point also. As you can imagine getting enough time to do all this is difficult.

The boat also needs the intermediates replacing, for one reason and another I haven't done that yet!

You thoiught about trying to get it to the RYA Regional Instructor Conferences? One of the workshops for the East Region conf is 'New Dinghies' where you get to play on new dinghies from various manufacturers....
