Great, thanks for the info - I'm new to this - I have the GoPro Hero 2 and thought about putting it at the masthead, but it would be easier having a remote control I suppose, otherwise you have to roll the boat to start the recording Ermm
I've also seen some vids with the GoPro at the end of the boom - might give this a go next time.....

hello John,

I don't use a remote control, on the beach I start the camera and let it run for the time I'm on the water,
half of the time the camera is behind the sail, because the camera is not on the top of the mast but approx. 1 meter lower.

I tried one day with the GoPro at the end of the boom, but I don't know i like this view I have to give it another try.

Important is to use the foggy inserts, otherwise you get a foggy lens problem.

The other option to stop it fogging is to put the mount in the fridge open. The fogging occurs due to moisture, a fridge doesn't have moisture as its dry air. Put GoPro in mounting in fridge and do not open it again until you have finished using it.

I enjoyed this video of BUSA racing. Something about the style pleased me.

You've never been to Thorpe Bay in the spring, I'm guessing?

Surely that RC Laser with a red top to its sail is out of class?!

Ah yes, Essex.
