Sadly I can't make it to Hunts, Nessa, but I'd love to have a play in the Bonito one day, really to see how she compares to the Minisail.

The Bonito was a bigger boat with a bigger sail and was a little faster as a result. Neither were great. I sailed a Bonito for a couple of seasons as a teenager, and to be honest the guy that won was usually the chap who had leaked less. The hulls continually flexed and split, so it wasn't uncommon to barely be able to drag them up the slipway at the end of a race as they were so full of water. Lasers killed them off, thank God.

Like some other things - sailing is more enjoyable when you do it with someone else

no, I think you'll find that "prize" currently being cherished by a grumpy swiss bloke who is now the proud owner of two very large hulls + 1 set of spars worth of carbon fibre and some very big, very american (ahem swiss) 3DL sails, all of which it turns out are no match at all for three hulls worth + 1 very big set of over grown spars worht of carbon....
