Crikey, I hadn't noticed any slowness myself! I thought you were lamenting the lack of bells and whistles.

Do people really think the forum in particular is slower than other pages on the Y&Y website?

It just doesn't work very well with Chrome, or I
understand, Safari.

Maybe it's a problem with the new new browsers, firefox
and IE seem to work OK but not the latest browsers of
choice.

The forum SW is OK and works but we never accept just
'OK' do we!

Cheers, Mark

That is a quality bit of delegation Mark, Dilbert would be proud of you!

We also don't want to accept 'OK', so are going to move forward with switching to the latest version. It is the new browsers that have the problems - some of them didn't exist when the version of the forum software we're using was written!

I'm using it on Chrome unstable on Linux right now looks
OK to me.

Speed is OK, there's quite bit to be rendered.
Like some other things - sailing is more enjoyable when you do it with someone else

Just for the record I'm using Safari and there aren't any issues. Living out in
the sticks with a rubbish internet connection is my reason for slow page
opening
