if u were to accidently leave it in would it be deemed to be cheating as it would reduce the wetted surface area of the boat!!!!

Remove the bung and insert an industrial vacuum pump up it's bunghole (!) start vacuum and simply roll topper up like a kip-mat.

I once transported a Topper in the back of a Cortina Estate - you couldn't shut the hatch back but it was OK for a short distance.

I have seen a Laser on top of a MG Midget softop.
A neat scaffolding arrangement supported on the 4 corners of the car on the bumper supports, with the Laser on top. Allowed the hood to be up or down.

A Peugeot 800 series thingy, and probably other large estate cars (Volvo 70) is quite big enough to put an Oppie in the back. Would they fit a Topper instead?

Try an extra round trip!

Cheaper than getting a tow bar & even if you borrow a trailer you would need to return it.

Probably still cheaper than using a courier / shipper

Just expensive in your time, but then again you get to see more of the best part of Britain i.e. Scotland
