I won't swim on Sunday, I'll be in the clubhouse drinking tea if it's that windy!

Good luck to everyone going to The Flyer, I hope everyone enjoys the event.

Online briefing is a great idea, hope the event runs smoothly. From someone who knows how difficult it is to get accurate results out quickly at an event like this I hope it all goes to plan for the race team. I haven't quite got my head around how the results are combined for the handicap races but starts split for the pursuit but then results combined overall again.

Anyway, From all of the Draycote Dash team, good luck!

Chris,

I think there are separate results for the fast and slow fleets for the pursuit race. I think that's what the SIs say anyway. Not sure how the results could be combined.

The online briefing seems to say the results will be merged.  I feel a controversy coming on...

Indeed, there seems to be no way of knowing how well the topper in the slow fleet sailed against the fireball in the fast fleet during the pursuit race, but then are the results being combined to score an individual winner for the event, or will there be a slow and fast fleet winner? Could be confusing if combined for one series position overall, but then again I may be missing something, I usually do.

I've not managed to look at the vid but to score a pursuit race they might make you complete the lap you are on (after the final hooter has gone) and turn it into an ave lap race.

Cant see how you can average lap a persuit. The race finishes after the time has elsapsed. To do extra distance(time) would mess up the handicaps.
