I definitely picked the right time to be injured.  As much as I'm not looking forward to sailing for next couple of weeks as least by time I get back to sailing it surely must have warmed up a tad!

Ain't that the truth. The only upside to a (very) slow recovery from long-term injury (and a crew away at uni) is that the excuses just write themselves. "No, really, I'd love to get my wetsuit frozen to the deck again, but the physio says I can't..."

Respect to the Laser sailors who braved BBSC on Saturday for our Open; rather you than me (on several levels).

Having a pretty serious cervical disc pro-lapse and a consultant who sails and has categorically told me not to sail the RS700 until August, I just couldnt resist, even with the ludicrous temp to take my father in laws Achilles 24 out for the final race in our clubs cruiser frostbite series. Brilliant fun and great to be on the water.

I was trolley dolly for my kids sailing and windsurfing at Weymouth this weekend, and I can honestly say I have never been colder. They seemed to have fun though.

Can't wait for Largs next week.
