Why not buy Strawberry's British Moth and play with that.  The moth is like a Topper but with a stayed mast and a bigger sail with alot up top (designed for river sailing).  It would be easy to beef it up, add wings, trapeze, assy etc.  You could then take out the centreboard and convert it to a dagger board.  Get an old rudder and make a T foil from it, do the same for the rudder and hey presto you have a foiling moth.

Who needs wands etc when you can just go higher and higher until you fall off.......now that sounds like fun.

i know what a b moth is cus i beat 2 in a race on sunday in my lightning but we are going to get a cherub and do that (stay in the class rules)

Yeah, team beef, we would have done that only I have a topper!!! Well, maybe once I've learnt a lot from the cherub, and a really cheapie topper comes on the market then I might try a little converting of my own!! But no worries, my sailory friends frank n ed - I'd never desert you!!  

Hey, I'm not coming down tomorrow, but I'm doing junior july (oooh get me!! ) so will you be down on the wednesday (in a week and a half)??!

You guys seem to be talking a lot about that crazy idea of yours... but I've got to admit I can't remember WHAT you want to build exactly. Any hope for a brief summary and update of work in progress?

When you're finished, are you going to embark on a grand tour of the UK, just to show other forum members that you actually mean to create something??

Right! Major update specially for you then B.N.S!!

Okay, we started off looking at modifying a topper for a bit of a laugh, but being clever kids  we realised it wouldn't work (and lots of people said it wouldn't) so we thought we would modify a cherub if we could find one cheap enough!! We found a grand-dad's boat for £200 or so, but the owner recommended another boat for £150 with some trendy bits on it so we're going to try and go for that one! It'll be fairly good to sail too, cos there's three of us but we're pretty small!!!

Hey - question here, could we enter for the cherub races even if there were three in a boat??!

What about an old Canoe, not sure on prices, but there powerful rigs, light hulls.

Easliy put racks on it if you dont want the seat.

Well, it would be lovely to see you sailing but you aren't going to be winning races with three in a boat. Don't worry about being small: with an old-rules rig you will be very speedy in the light stuff if you are under 18stone all up, and perfectly able to control it in the windy stuff, especially if you fit another trapeze
