I think I have clearance to come along, so that would another fat boy to match Russ, except of course I'll be in a Phantom, or out of it depending on the wind strength. Will be able to confirm after this weekend I think

Going back to my rugby days, I think, rather than allowing them into the club house, it would be better if they all stood on the club lawn in a circle in the driving rain, in their shorts, sucking quarter of an orange while recieving a bol---king from some inarticulate bloke vaguely connected with the sport. They would be grateful for back to back races then into the communal bath and drink 20 pints so you forget how bad it all was and do it again next week?

Its a funny think about back to back races. My experience is that at AGMs and so on you get loads of people who say they're in favour of having lots of back to back races, but when it actually comes down to it they take the first possible opportunity to nip ashore for a cup of tea and a comfort break, and it will take you 45 minutes to round them up and get them out again for the next start...

not if you just start without them it isn't

Just to throw a thought in.  The FOM will be B2B racing and if anyone chooses to go ashore it's up to them to get back to the start area in time.  I guess it's tougher on the slower boats, me included, so maybe it's a good idea to have a longer break at some stage.  I am talking to the contact at Broxbourne tomorrow and will discuss this.  More likely it's a possible problem on Sunday than Saturday  LOL LOL

Maybe kill two birds with one stone here - race as normal on Saturday, and then tip a whole lot of salt in the lake before Sunday's racing and see what difference it makes.

I was always planning b2b racing both days but was concerned about G.R.F.'s bladder on the Sunday after Saturday night.  Come to think of it, who cares about his bladder anyway?

not that big a lake - do you think it would be sufficiently diluted?

Good point. Best super-glue him into his incontinence pants just to be on the safe side.
Best wishes from deep in the woods

yeah but does the volume of the wee in his bladder contain the same mass as others? And if you shake him up and down so his bladder fills with bubbles mean that he will float higher or lower? If it does we will able to tell that he has wee'd in the lake (after falling in of course) by his relative height to the waters surface
