Weird Fowey story for you... The only time I've been to Fowey was in '93 when I overnighted there on a Joint Services yacht. Coincidentally, the Laser II Nationals were on that week, and in the morning I smiled at a girl that was crewing one of the boats as they sailed out to the race area. 12 months later I saw her again at the Laser II Europeans in Mumbles (though didn't speak to her) and 12 months after that I finally spoke to her at the Plymouth Nationals. 12 months after that we were married with a baby on the way!

I see my old boat is on the duck and the cheeky bugger is asking more for it than I sold it to the guy before him and it's lost one of its sails and presumably the mast extension.... Clearly an appreciating asset!

No 10.2s at the Europeans?  Has the 10.2 essentially become a light wind club racing option only now?

So the class has become a one design at last? Those who didn't like the idea of 2 (or 3) rigs should be happy about that?

Yes- it makes far more sense if approaching the class from a fresh and/or newbie perspective
