Plus its far cheaper than the Maffioli stuff, although i have to agree that it is an awesome bit of string. i think its only LDC that stocked it. |

Cheers Rich, Its been a real nightmare cleaning her up but she is starting to look good. I have just put the first coat of varnish on the bottom mast section and finished filling the chips in the foils! But gutted as it seems no one sells my favourite control line rope anymore! Its kind if hidden on the LDC website and no one else stocks it (Maffoli Evolution Racing 4mm) so may have to make do with good old Excel racing. I am going to adopt but modify your system for continuous lines, but need to try and recoup some money first (the solo error cost me a shilling or two)

Cheers Mate, think i'll give Swift cord a miss then. I think i'm kind of limited to what Doug can get hold of in terms of Toestrap material, i was thinking blue may be easier for him to get hold of, although i would love some blue camoflage if i could get hold of it!!!

Boat is look nice matey. Why not something more extreme for toe straps? Maybe white? With Swiftcord you have to taper it into thinner dyneema eg 4mm d12. This does require reducing the diameter of the swiftcord but its the only way to do it properly. Then you can slice away with the dyneema tapered in the end. Simples. |

Right i need help with toe strap colours. The question is do i go with the safe bet of Grey padding with black strap or blue padding with Black strap (to complement the blue hull)???????? I have today finally managed to remove all the grippy paint that was on the deck and she is now looking shiny!! I am booking her in Monday to be refurbished (remove the knocks and knocks in the gel) I have now also tidied up the carbon tack tick bracket with blue anodised bolts as well as removing all the old tape and lacquered it with epoxy. Rope ordering is commencing Monday!!! Does anyone know if and how to splice proper swift cord (the one with no core) Edited by Merlinboy |

get 2 large 4ftx4ft plain white stickers for your mainsail, then mount 2 mini projectors one in each wing. Then you can watch movies whilst you sail. Obviously you'd need to waterproof the projectors, and possibly rig up some sort of offset pivoting apparatus so that they give the perfect picture whatever the sail trim. if you can plug them into your waterproof ipod dock you can have the sound that goes with it too.

yeah you should've chromed your racks, makes them extra bling and totally useless because they'd be soo slippery.
