Pull yourselves together PY critics, you've now been judged, told how to think and behave so be grateful that you've been put back on the straight and narrow  LOL

haha - no, keep the PY moaning rolling.  The last thing anyone needs is to think PY is actually providing great racing- above and beyond a competitive pootle with your mates, be that on a Wednesday night in summer, or some gawd-forsaken pond in the Winter.

It keeps folks with crap boats but great racing in check ... at least they're not tempted with the hype and bonanza of the next Whizzbang 9000 thinking that PY racing alone will be sufficient to fulfil any competitive desires they may harbour....

Is it just me that finds class racing quite stressful? You're either losing and you know it, your winning and there's lots of pressure to stay ahead, or your caught up in a close quarters bun-fight which is not pleasant at all.

Wouldn't say stressful. However yes, when billy no mates under PY you are generally more free to sail your own race with different problems though, how to efficiently (and politely) get past slower boats and to avoid getting duffed up by bigger mobile wind shadows. A realistic view however of results is required.
Horses for courses.

Thats the joy of class racing.

If you are doing well you know it is usually you and not the boat. If you are doing badly...same thing...

it's also grossly inaccurate - given a solid breeze, I'd favour my chances of sailing to PY in a Laser greater than say an RS300 which is far more tricky.   Yet a 300 is perfectly 'do-able' in lighter winds, in fact, their trickiness is grossly exaggerated given the average wind speeds in UK.

The PY doesn't change for the windspeed.

It's supposed to be rude, I guess given that y'all are old AND special needs I could type it out in full in future, Fixed That For You if it helps you not to have to fumble for the specs then have to howl to the nurse for more medication

I think the issue with FTFY is not making it obvious where you've twisted the original.
Then some other person quotes your post misquoting the original.
It's deeply frowned on in some forums, part of the way of life in others.
