Not disappointed in the least - looks like I'll be providing the cabaret though! I'd personally rather go to somewhere like Broxbourne than the HISC-type clubs. Just don't watch the gybes too closely! Mind you, if there's room for a half-decent beat, none of you will be close enough to see the gybes!

could it alternate bewteen a coastal venue and an inland one, im sure the blackwater sc would happily play host over a weekend.  we now have a proper bar, and have plenty of campsite space too.

Thanks for that  Smile

What I would like to do is get a list of suggested host clubs together, including Blackwater sc, and get an online vote for next year's event.  I am sure that this year's event will be a great success and that we will want to do this on an annual basis.  If people can put forward their suggestions we can put it to the vote.  Let's start with:

Great idea Rodney.

Would like to join in with an X1 and an X0.

Please put us down for one of each!

I would suggest the biggest problem with this event in coming years may be its size, there are lots of us with far too much to say who will turn up. Two boats per class won't stop the numbers we will just acquire obscure boats to get a way in. I think Rodney has a growing event, it would be good if the venue were chosen on the basis of food, drink and accomodation with sailing a distant fourth. Is this becoming my dream rugby tour with sailing?
