I would personally recommend the SB3- nothing beat clocking 25knts on one blasting of the face of a wave!
Also, and a class to watch, The Longtze- great looker, fast etc

What ever happened to the x-treme 25? I always thought it looked very nice and I only ever heard favorable reports. Did people just decide to stick to the larger class size of the sb3 and other established boats then?

A mate of mine raced the X-treme 25 in Cowes Week last year and said it was good fun but way too much of a handful to sail. And he is a VERY experienced sailor. Shame because its a great looking boat.

Personally I'd never, ever, buy anything called "X-Treme" as unless you are in your teens it is reminiscent of mid-life crisis males buying an Imprezza and wearing a baseball cap backwards. That aside, what would you actually do with a boat like this in the UK? Sail it in IRC and finish last on handicap? |

Looks an interesting boat. Are there prices for it available? Love the fact that you won't need a braked trailer, which makes true trailer sailoring a real proposition. |
