Help needed......

Although I'm not a hero, my first open meeting was a
Graduate junior event near Huddersfield in the 1980's. I
was so inexperienced that I called water, at 12 boat
lengths. But it was a good learning curve, and I later
went on to win the clubs junior trophy. I would like to
think that the Knowledge I gained from the junior
Nationals may have helped.

Do not allow the nipper to be disheartened, I have learnt
sooo much since then.....

It is all down to natural skill, a good boat, and
time/expeience on the water...

Crewing for a good helm, taught me soo much, however the
RYA process dosn't seem to allow for that....

I am sure if he was to crew, a dinghy legend (Pat Blake,
Tom Stewart Et Al), then he would pick up all the
intracicies involved.
