Well at least you don't have to strip it.
Quick old boats those. After I built a Mirror with my dad, I badgered him for ages to get one of these. No joy though, just a clip round the ear. Get it on the water. |

A brush down and loads of vacuum cleaning is a good start. Then so long as it stays reasonably dry you are off to a flyer. We all look forward to the pics of you girls out on the water in that 14 btw. How exciting. |

When I took the chute out yesterday I discovered the builder had painted his intials inside - MAT, along with the year - 1973. It's as old as her indoors!

It's always nice finding, or leaving your mark for future generations to find when they pull things apart. I dated & signed a boat I built a few years ago....but for anyone to see it again they'd have to have virtually destroyed her On houses we've had in the past I've left messages under the wallpaper, & I left behind a really nice oak fire surround in our old cottage with a card from me & my old Dad. Wish I stripped out when we left....... being the last thing my Dad helped me build. |
