Surprised they didn't make the full size rig the same as the 'normal' moth (circa 8.25m2), seems that the rest would make it class legal.

landed prices contain two elements - the shipping (not necessarily including domestic carriage, insurance, port fees and demurrage) and then the import duty paid to, in our case, HMRC. I'd want the incoterms defined before contemplating importing them... and that's assuming you think you can flog enough when they're competing with tweaked and tuned nearly new moths suitably depreciated by the AC mob and paid brigade in Weymouth.

did anyone watch the video; the designer was indicating that there's £100,000 moths out there
I realise that there will be alot of development cost in that, but even so

As someone who has spent a lot of time using camber induced windsurfer sails (and has had the luck to be able to talk to AMAC and other sail designers) IMHO it could perhaps be said that they are more efficient for a low drag high apparent craft. A windsurfer-style sail on a dinghy doesn't normally generate the extra lift that is needed to drive the bigger hull of a dinghy, and the lower drag of the windsurfer sail is not as important on dinghies. |

... and sometimes it's just easier to get a rotational sail going a bit earlier than the cambered ones. Although I'd admit cams do help with planing through lulls. I've more of less quit using my 7.3 and 8.4 triple cam sails now... a 7.8 rotational covers both.

You spend what you want. Last competitive season I did cost of £700 for a new sail and some bits of string - got a few podiums too.

It's still class legal with a smaller sail...

I guess looking at the Launch Video 'cut'... Launching isn't as seamless as the design team would have you believe. Which begs the question, why?
