They probably couldn't hear you any longer... Ears still ringing with the noise of the crash, and brain not looking forward to the increased insurance premium. Big smile

Could be, could be.  I don't think the insurance premium was a worry for them. V. Rich Mummy........   Now there's a thought.....

BTW BNS we now have more water at Weir Wood.  It's up to a whole 32% full.  Be still my beating heart.

32% yeeehaa! Can you still see the village?

Here in Lancing, we've got 100% some of the time then it drops for a little while then comes back full again... Oh yes, they call it the "tide"!!!! Smile You should come and see that sometime...

Major drawback in our club: there aren't any rich mums I know of. No rich daddys either, come to think of it... Confused

Still, hurry up, 27th Nov is the last sailing day of the year! Next date: Easter...

A couple of small islands have disappeared... Now you can't see what you are going to hit.

November 27th!!! Good grief young lady, we sail all year round, and have special prizes for the best decorated boat on Boxing Day.  What on earth do you do with yourself for the four months to Easter?  (You can whisper the answer if it's very rude ).

Shocked Embarrassed Pierre ! I'm a respectable mother and wife........................ in amongst other things... Wink

After the 27th Nov, the club will host a Christmas party for all the little ones (we still have vacancies for the jobs of 'Santa's Little Helper' or 'Rudolph' - Take your pick).

We also organise a Sunday lunch once a month - £6 for a 3-course meal with coffee. I usually cook it all and I haven't poisoned anyone yet ! Last year, we had about 40 guests every time.

Finally, I'd organised a bike ride with pub lunch last February and I'll try to get something like this going this winter again...

As you see, we still keep busy. However, for many Lancing sailors, 27th Nov marks the beginning of a dreaded time: the infamous DIY !! LOL LOL

Tell me, if I whisper on a PM, do I need to use a smaller font?

BNS, heaven forfend that you should interpret my light hearted banter as anything but a perfectly respectable piece of throw away jocularity!

Well it all sounds very sociable down there in Lancing, but please don't put those 3 letters DIY on a public forum. Forum members partners and spouses may have full view, and it makes for a very uncomfortable time on the home front.  Essential boat maintenance is more specific and give a better platform to argue from .

stop making me laugh please and yes you should be discrete at all times  ..... not that there would be anything that would require that kind of discretion of course ...

What shall we do about forum members have spouses and/or partners who are also members of the same forum?

As for Ð1¥, it's something I usually do at home... until he nicks my tools to fix his boat! LOL !

Point 1.  Shared interests are great.  You dug the hole .... I'm sure you can climb out of it.

Point 2   He's a very lucky man.  A wife with DIY skills and her own tools. I bet Mr Contender thought he'd died and gone to heaven the day he met you.
