Rupert, its no problems at all.  in fact i think you are the easiest person of all to cater for.  You just need to drive 2.5 miles from White Friars to South Cerney SC.  Which is where the Demo boat is currently stored.  Give me a bit of notice as i will rarely be there and i think the demo boat may sell over the next few days, but we have a new one available or one of the other 2 will let you have another go.

I'd not put 2 and 2 together there! I shall find some free dates and see if we can match one up.

Is one coming across to Whitefriars for Federation day on Saturday?

Not trying to be difficult but the D1 has nearly as much sail as the Musto, and is about the same width isn't it.  Anything about 12 knots and i wish i had a little more leverage in my Musto!

Thats not what you said Neptune you quite clearly named the D1 not the Astom

Well its not the D1 that started it so have a dig at someone else!  We are the only one with the leverage!  So pick on a narrower boat that claims to be faster.

Was more aimed at all these new boat claims as that was this thread is about :-)

Not difficult you just haven't looked at or understood how the rig works on a D1, remember we have an unstayed rig which works brilliantly for a start. At 12 Knots leverage would not be my problem, i would be starting to drop the track down further and cranking on Cunningham. The traveller is also a big help we can drop the track down and crank the main-sheet on.  The D1 is a powerful boat, but like it or not it works upwind and down.  You will however have to hike and hike hard but i have never sailed on and thought jeez i need to be a foot taller.  Its all about rig control.  So not sure why you struggle in the musto so much (or have i miss read)

To be honest i have seen some pretty light sailors sail Mustos in loads more wind than 12 knots sailing very flat and very, very fast.  At no point did they look 'Over Canvassed'  Perhaps you should buy that DVD K16, it may help you learn how to de-power the musto better  Wink LOL

Anyway don't take my word for it, have a go in one.
